1. Who we are and what you agree to
Kansumi is the trade name used by the proprietor operating the Kansumi service ("Kansumi", "we", "us"). These Terms are an agreement between that operator and you.
By creating an account, clicking to continue, or using Kansumi, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Cookie Policy and AI Disclosure, which form part of them. If you do not agree, do not use Kansumi. If you use Kansumi for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it.
2. Who can use Kansumi
Age. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to use online services, whichever is higher. If you are under 18, you need your parent's or legal guardian's permission, and they should read these Terms with you. You must be at least 18 to buy a subscription or credits. Kansumi is not directed to children under 13, and we may close an account that we reasonably believe does not meet these requirements.
Your account. Provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials confidential, and tell us promptly about any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts and credits may not be sold, transferred or shared for resale.
Where Kansumi is available. Kansumi is offered only where it is lawful and where our providers support it. You may not use it in violation of sanctions or export controls.
3. Using Kansumi
Kansumi turns sketches, floor plans and room photos into editable layouts and AI-generated interior concepts, offered as a credit-based service. Features, models, providers, prices and limits may change, and we may set reasonable technical limits.
You may not use Kansumi to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- create or share unlawful, deceptive, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit material, or intimate imagery of a real person without their consent;
- depict a real person without the consent the law requires, or upload data you are not permitted to process;
- bypass safety, billing, rate or security controls, probe or disrupt the service, or introduce malware;
- scrape, copy, reverse engineer or resell the service, except where the law expressly allows;
- present any output, measurement or fit result as surveyed, verified, certified, code-compliant or suitable for permits or construction;
- remove or alter an AI label, watermark, provenance marker or warning.
Automated checks and provider safety systems may block or fail to block content. You remain responsible for what you upload, request, share and do with output.
Kansumi relies on third-party AI, payment, hosting, authentication and other providers. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them except where the law says otherwise. If you give us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
4. Your content and generated output
Your Input. You keep any rights you have in what you upload or submit ("Input"). You give Kansumi and the providers acting for us permission to host, copy, process, modify and transmit Input as needed to operate, secure and improve the service, provide what you asked for, enforce these Terms and comply with law. You confirm that you have every right and permission needed to submit the Input.
Your Output. As between you and Kansumi, you own the renders, plans and exports that Kansumi generates for you ("Output") and may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercially. Kansumi keeps all rights in the service, its software, templates and branding.
Output may not be unique. Because of how AI works, other users may receive similar or identical Output, and Output may resemble existing designs, products, trademarks or copyrighted works. We do not promise that Output is original, copyrightable, accurate, lawful or non-infringing. You are responsible for checking it and for obtaining any rights you need before you use or publish it, including the rights of depicted people and property owners.
Output can be wrong. Output is generated by AI. It is not a photograph, not the work of an architect, engineer or designer, and not professional advice. In particular:
- the editable 2D plan is the measurement; renders are visual concepts and are not dimensionally reliable;
- extracted walls, openings and scale can be incorrect, and confirming one dimension does not verify the rest of the drawing;
- Output must not be used as construction documents, permit drawings, specifications, or the basis for building, demolition, installation, purchasing or safety decisions.
Verify every dimension, site condition and requirement with qualified professionals before acting. The AI Disclosure explains these limits in more detail.
5. Sharing
Share links are public: anyone who has one can view, download, copy and pass on the linked material without signing in. Decide carefully what you share, remove addresses and personal details first, and keep AI labels and watermarks on the material. Revoking a link stops access through Kansumi but cannot recall copies that others have already made.
6. Paid plans and credits
Who sells. Paid plans and credit packs are sold through Dodo Payments, the merchant of record and legal seller. Dodo processes your payment, applies and remits taxes, issues receipts and handles refunds and chargebacks under its Buyer Terms. Kansumi provides the service you paid for.
Renewal and cancellation. Pro renews monthly or annually until you cancel in Settings → Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Prices and credit costs may change for future purchases, never for a completed one.
Credits. Credits are prepaid units for use inside Kansumi. They are not money, have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are removed when an account is deleted or a payment is refunded or reversed. Plan credits roll over up to your plan's ceiling. If an AI action fails before delivering anything, its reserved credits are released.
Refunds. Refunds and the 14-day withdrawal right are described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
7. Suspension, termination and deletion
We may suspend or terminate your access, or restrict features, where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, non-payment, abuse, risk to others or a breach of these Terms. We will give you notice where the law requires it or where it is reasonable to do so, and you may ask us to review a suspension by writing to legal@kansumi.com. We may discontinue Kansumi on reasonable notice; if we do, we will refund any prepaid, unused period.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion signs the account out, revokes its share links and starts a 30-day grace period during which signing in again restores the account. After that, your account and project data are deleted, backups are cleared within a further 30 days, and limited billing, security and legal records are kept as the law requires. Export anything you want to keep before deleting.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
No warranties. Kansumi is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we and our providers make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, accurate or error-free, or that your content will be secure or not lost. You use Output at your own risk and agree not to rely on it as a sole source of truth or as a substitute for professional advice.
What we are not liable for. To the extent permitted by law, neither Kansumi nor its providers will be liable for:
- indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill or use;
- the cost of construction, purchases, repairs or rework undertaken in reliance on Output;
- delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control;
even if we were advised of the possibility.
Limit. Our total liability to you for all claims under these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid Kansumi through Dodo Payments during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Consumers in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. If you are a consumer there, this section applies to you as follows instead:
- we will provide Kansumi with reasonable skill and care;
- provided we have done so, we are not responsible for loss or damage unless it was caused by our breach of these Terms or was reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to them;
- we are not responsible for loss caused by your own breach or by events beyond our reasonable control;
- nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or in any other way that would be unlawful, and you keep every right and legal guarantee that consumer law gives you.
9. Business users
If you use Kansumi for a business or organization, or otherwise not as a consumer, the following also applies:
- you will indemnify Kansumi and its providers against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your Input, your use of Output or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by us;
- where the law allows, you will bring claims individually, not in a class, collective or representative action, and within one year after the claim arose.
10. Complaints, takedown and disputes
Talk to us first. Write to legal@kansumi.com with any complaint, notice or dispute. We will try to resolve it informally within 30 days before either of us starts formal proceedings, unless urgent relief or mandatory law requires otherwise.
Reporting content. To report infringing, unlawful or privacy-invasive material, tell us where it is, the legal basis of your report and your authority to act. We may remove material, revoke links and suspend repeat violators, without taking on a duty to monitor all content.
Law and courts. These Terms are governed by the law applicable at the Kansumi operator's principal place of business, and disputes will be heard by the courts having jurisdiction there, except to the extent that mandatory law gives you, as a consumer, the right to rely on the law of, or bring proceedings in, the country where you live.
11. Changes and general terms
Changes. We may change these Terms for legal, security, provider or product reasons. We will announce material changes in the app or by email before they take effect where reasonably practicable, and ask for fresh consent where the law requires it. Otherwise, continuing to use Kansumi after the effective date means you accept the change.
Whole agreement. These Terms and the policies they incorporate are the entire agreement about Kansumi. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
Transfer. You may not transfer these Terms. We may transfer them together with the service or business, subject to mandatory law.
Survival. Sections 4, 8, 9 and 10 survive termination.
